i looked through old photos
of people i've only really known for a few years
and it's amazing to see how much life
there is in this world
how much love, pain, experience
it's an interesting curiosity
i want to know it all
but that's impossible
my own life needs writing
and then i look at my own old photos
my own history
with its own love, pain, and experience
it's a powerful nostalgia
not really knowing your own past
forgetting the details
and realizing there is so much more to go
